AMERICAN GUESTS OF THE ENGLISH SPEAKING CLUB
The visitors shared their pedagogical experience and impressions about Ukraine, their exception of the country, its culture and traditions. They have been to many remote places of this country. Being abroad every visitor experiences “culture shock” that is inevitable. The visitors shared about what they noticed in the new culture: Ukrainians dress up, look too serious being on the street or meeting people that might be perceived as being angry or even hostile. One more thing, the social distance (space) between people is too short. The Ukrainian cuisine tastes great but be careful with jelly meat and jelly fish.
On October 10 the English Speaking Club hosted our guests – Steve Wasiura and Jeff Milton, Peace Corps volunteers. The members of the club had a chance to ask questions and enjoyed interesting, instructive and witty answers of our visitor who have been working in Ukraine for over two years.
