WE MASTER AMERICAN DIALECTS
This semester the students of the Foreign Languages Department have become to learn the course in English Dialectology with innovations – from Lauren McKenzie Reed, our Peace Corpse Volunteer. She has conducted the first lectures for the 5th year students.
The American colleague is enthusiastic about the new challenge. She enjoys profound education in Humanities and Linguistics ( she has three degrees and MS in Linguistic is one of them). The students can acquire their knowledge and skills directly from the native speaker, discovering more about the peculiarities of pronunciation and lexical meaning of a wide range of words. Many American words are spread in a unique way and do no coincide with the conventional map of dialects.
